Fruit pizza is a creative dessert that looks just like your favorite Italian pizza, but it’s made with a sweet crust, a creamy chocolate sauce, and lots of colorful fruit toppings. The best part? We’re making it vegan, so it’s dairy-free and egg-free, making it a great choice for everyone!

Ingredients for Your Vegan Fruit Pizza

Here’s what you’ll need to create your fruit masterpiece:

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup organic coconut oil
  • 1 1/4 cup organic coconut sugar
  • Flax eggs – 2 tbsp organic ground flax seeds + 6 tbsp organic water (jk)
  • 4 cups organic spelt flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Once the crust is made you have 2 amazing options for the frosting or pizza “sauce”

For the Vegan Chocolate Frosting:

  • 1 cup organic cacao powder
  • 1/2 water
  • 1/2 organic coconut sugar

For the Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1 cup raw cashews, soaked for 4 hours and drained (or store-bought vegan cream cheese)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Let’s Get Cooking!

Making the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine your ground flax seeds and water then set aside to congeal into a thick eggy consistency
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine coconut oil, coconut sugar with a whisk
  4. Add your flax eggs into the oil and sugar mixture
  5. Press the dough into a round pizza pan lined with parchment paper or a rectangular baking sheet
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden. Let it cool completely.

Assembling the Pizza:

  1. Wait for pizza to cool completely
  2. Spread the vegan chocolate sauce or cream cheese frosting over the cooled crust
  3. Now, the artistic part! Arrange your choice of sliced fruits on top of the frosting. Create a rainbow pattern, a smiley face, or any design you like!
