Starting a blog in 2023 – Friday Reflections Week 3

Starting a blog in 2023

Blog Update:

Since last week, I’ve created a format of a transactional post which took a bit of work to set up but once it’s done, it’s DONE.
I’m quite content with the layout right now, you can check out the format in this blog post: 15 Best Mother’s Day Gifts For Homeschooling Moms 2023 as it lays out everything in bullet form, it’s not overloaded with paragraphs and a bunch to read and it gets straight to the point, loaded with photos to break up text and has call to action buttons.

I am now working on other formats and templates to write on other subjects that are not transactional because I want to incorporate a lot more knowledge and helpful resources. I’d love to create more posts on How tos and eventually add recipes on this blog too.

I’ve also installed a Table of Contents plugin to automatically insert a Table of Contents to all of our posts so it can be quickly accessible and organized. I decided on a plugin called: Easy Table of Contents

Weekly Favorites:

We recently celebrated a couple of birthdays and had some guests over and I believe I have created the perfect Chocolate Bundt Cake that’s rich, real wholesomely plant based and approved by my hubby Trey that he wants it for his birthday this year!

It’s the best, moist, chocolatey cake we’ve made and I want to create recipes to share with you readers and so I created a notion page of this recipe but I will eventually create a video to post on Youtube so I can share this recipe visually too!

Here’s the link to the notion page if you’d like to try it out this weekend! –>Chocolate Bundt Cake<–

Book I’m currently reading:

I’ve never been a huge reader but I made it a goal in 2021 that I want to be that person who reads, that person who cuddles up with a book and can read and read. Well I purchased a Paperwhite Kindle and started building the habit of reading and in 2022, I finished reading 21 books.

Currently I’m working on a few books, but one in particular that I just finished and loved was:

Twenty Years Later by Charlie Donlea

Twenty Years Later by Charlie Donlea is a thriller about Avery Mason, host of American Events, knows the subjects that grab a TV audience’s attention. Her latest story—a murder mystery laced with tragedy and betrayal—is guaranteed to be ratings gold. New DNA technology has allowed the New York medical examiner’s office to make its first successful identification of a 9/11 victim in years. The twist: the victim, Victoria Ford, had been accused of the gruesome murder of her married lover. In a chilling last phone call to her sister, Victoria begged her to prove her innocence.

The book is an easy read that keeps you engaged in the storyline and you’re reading into the night for more and more. The twist at the end was totally not expected, love books like this! Check this book out now!

Thank you for being here for my Friday Reflections this week, I hope this is helpful to you and thank you for being an accountability partner for me to keep this blog rolling.

Until next time, XO
Rosa
